Black Reads: Issue 035
I've been on my hella proud to be Black vibes again, and it showed up in today's newsletter. Enjoy!!!
I’m cooking up something new for the curation of this newsletter, and I’m really excited to get this thing rolling as we are quickly approaching our second year anniversary of starting Blackstack! With that said, if you filled out the form to be a column writer, be on the lookout for an email from me this week to get the ball rolling on that.
For everyone else, I am going to open a submission for specific topics. I will still read through them and select the way I normally do, but this will give us a chance to compromise on how the features are selected. Today, I’m keeping it simple, so enjoy the vibes!
This was a read that truly hit home for me, now Nneoma has me playing A Seat At The Table vinyl in the living room while curating this newsletter. The energy has been intense, but through it all, I’ve been maintaining this high level of gratitude. Have you been feeling this, too?
If you haven’t noticed, I love a good storyteller. This was my first time coming across ZAi ANDRé’s work, and the title had me hooked from the start. It’s a feel-good read, especially if you’ve been thinking about what community looks and feels like, not just online, but offline first.
I also wanna troll for a second and let some of y’all know the way you eat your grits is disguising, and I judged. However, it does not take my love for you away; I just will not be serving grits ever at any Blackstack brunch kind of function.

Wait. I think I missed the memo about being a columnist. May I ask for that link? I'm not finding it in my inbox. So sorry!
