I am sad to say I did not know anything about Black August. After searching that up, I'm seeing some lists of books that talk more about the Black Liberation movement. The autobiographies of Angela Davis and Assata Shakur were already on my list...this just bumped them up. Thank you as always for bringing these conversations to the front.
