April Community Writing Events
If you told me a few months ago I was going to announce multiple virtual and in-person events in April - I would have never believed you!
But here we are, me announcing multiple community writing experiences for us, created by us, in spaces cultivated with us in mind.
There are so many amazing things happening in the Blackstack community, I am so grateful with all of the support from y’all! We have two Writers Circles this month, one in-person writing event, and an interest form for those looking to attend our first annual Grassroots Published Authors Retreat.

Editor’s Note: Communication will be posted and emailed on Friday, April 11, 2025 with some important magazine updates, along with a story time. A little disappointing, however, I’m grateful for my discernment and was able to catch the unnecessary changes made in the language of the contributing writers work. I do not police nor change the words of submitted work, so I was hurt to find that someone I trusted did this in the magazine, taking me over a month to correct.
I apologize for the delay, however, I am grateful for always following my gut intuition when I felt the magazine was not ready. I’ve made the necessary adjustments with staff, and we’re ready to move forward. The life behind the scenes of creating this magazine is the exact thing that has made me fall in love with the process. I can’t wait to share more about that this week!
xoxo, Jacquie
DISCLAIMER: This is a Black Only space. Non-Black readers are not welcomed to engage with our work or attend our writing spaces. Don’t try me you will be removed and blocked. Crying at you telling the NC folks to keep their shirts on 😂
