Now that the elections are over we can begin the real community work to impliment the change we want to see in our community. As writers we have a responsibility to preserve the history we witness.

Ah THIS was the reminder I needed to tend to my own YAWD and mind my own community in Toronto. I've invested decades of searching, building and bonding with the black community in America and the Islands to see who is bout dat life when it comes to real change but I never took the time to build it from Canada cuz I was always tryna leave this place.
But my father migrated up from Jamaica for a reason and I must honour this season.
There's so many of my people dem up here who are quietly suffering under this Colonizing Nightmare of a government.
You specifically addressing your American cohorts in this newsletter was exactly what I needed to see before I hibernate in hyper focused manifestation mode. This has given me a whole new direction to marinate.
This is the kind of comment that I needed to see Tab! Our ancestors gave us our skin and it’s our toughest leather, and this is what I am resting in during this new fight. Sending you so much love!

To me it's the perfect balance and start of true legacy when I think about my story as a whole. Here comes the tears...thank you sis!

...It's the ability to embrace and uplift the micro differences between each other while being able to see the similarities because the pieces of the puzzle all came from the macro, the one BIG picture. and if there is any piece missing, if any one piece is looked at as irrelevant or unworthy and disregarded..... the puzzle is incomplete.
