The assignment was understood!!! I love this SSA concept so much. You knew the voice changed but the flow of the letter was seamless.
Several voices syncing into one singular vibe and flow. Drinking in the body of Blackstack and allowing this to fuel my writings for my panel at the Furious Flower Poetry Conference.

Sooo good!! I heard tell of Andre 3000’s New Blue Sun but after I watched the pop out concert I listened to it while I took in the rest of this Sunday service and *chefs kiss* thoroughly enjoyed. Made me remember why substack is soul food not fast food & that’s the season I’m in🙌🏾

I grew up in L.A. I raised my kids in this white ass suburb of Texas. I know. WTF was I thinking?
I was in L.A. visiting family and friends last week. The weather was perfect. I felt at ease the whole time I was there. Except when we were stuck in traffic.
Anyway, y’all made me feel at home again. Thank you!

I’ve enjoyed my time there as a visitor but have also heard things about the politics and what have you!

Listen!!! As it was coming together I was so shocked with how everyone understood the assignment with very little direction. It warms my heart to see how an idea was executed so precise as if everyone was in my mind having the idea with me. Now it's the only way I want to experience community newsletters. I can't wait for our experience together this week! The standard has been set - Johanna had me going back to make edits because of how inspired I was with her creativity.
You really did your thing, Johanna! I told you in the chat but whoa it was so good how you took the overall theme and blended the words and your mission so beautifully! Thank you again for setting the tone for Sunday Service Announcements!
